XRP is approaching a key liquidity zone after a major crypto market sell-off. Analyst Will Taylor (@CryptoinsightUK) believes that most of the downside liquidity has already been cleared, and larger liquidity pools may now be sitting above the current price. This comes as market sentiment has taken a hit following roughly $5 billion in liquidations across the crypto market.
XRP Struggles Against Long-Term Downtrend
In the latest edition of The Weekly Insight, Taylor described XRP’s current price action as part of a broader market capitulation, not just a single altcoin breakdown. He noted that Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP have all moved into areas where significant liquidity has been taken. This raises the question: is the market heading for another drop, or setting up for a sharp reversal?
For XRP, the key level is still the liquidity zone near $1. Taylor pointed out that while there is still some downside liquidity around that area, it looks small compared to the larger liquidity pools above the current price. “The discussion is very similar for XRP,” Taylor wrote. “If you zoom in on the XRP liquidity chart, there’s still a liquidity band around $1. But when you zoom out and compare it to the bigger liquidity pools above us, it becomes relatively minor.”
That doesn’t mean the chart has turned bullish yet. Taylor stressed that XRP is still stuck in a broader downtrend that started in August 2025, making this a critical test of market structure. If it fails to regain momentum, the $1 liquidity zone could be at risk. But if it holds, that would support the idea that sellers have already done most of their damage.
Taylor’s broader view is that the market has reached a turning point driven by liquidity. Bitcoin has swept key hourly downside liquidity, Ethereum has retested a trend line while clearing much of its daily liquidity below price, and XRP’s remaining lower liquidity pool looks less significant than what’s above. In this context, the recent wave of liquidations may have reset market positioning enough to set the stage for a stronger move.
“One positive factor is that we’ve just seen a major liquidation event, with roughly $5 billion in liquidations across the market,” Taylor wrote. “Historically, events of that size tend to happen very close to important lows, if not right at them. Again, that doesn’t mean we can’t see another drop, a slightly lower low, or continued downside.”
That caution is important. Taylor repeatedly noted that crypto could still see more volatility, especially if instability in stock markets spills over into digital assets. The newsletter pointed to a stronger U.S. dollar, 10-year Treasury yields near 4.532%, and an overextended Nasdaq as macro factors that could keep pressure on risk assets.
Still, the report argued that the crypto market may be closer to a turning point than current sentiment suggests. Taylor said the next phase of the market could be driven less by broad speculation and more by real-world use, with institutions valuing networks based on actual usage rather than hype alone.
“My view remains the same,” the analyst wrote. “I still believe all of this is happening because the next phase of the market will be the utility phase. The institutions entering this market aren’t playing the same game retail has been playing for the last decade.”
At the time of writing, XRP was trading at $1.14.

Frequently Asked Questions
Here is a list of FAQs about the analysts signal regarding XRP potentially hitting 1 or reversing sharply written in a natural tone with clear answers
BeginnerLevel Questions
Q Is XRP definitely going to hit 1
A No The analyst is saying the liquidity setup is giving a clear signal but that doesnt guarantee the price will go up It means the market conditions are set for a big moveeither up to 1 or down sharply
Q What does liquidity setup mean in simple terms
A Think of it like a pool of money waiting to be triggered If the price moves to a certain level it unlocks a bunch of buy or sell orders The analyst is saying that pool is now visible which usually leads to a fast price swing
Q So is this a buy now signal
A Not exactly Its a warning that a big move is coming You could make money if it goes up but you could also lose money if it reverses and drops Its a highrisk setup not a guaranteed win
Q What does sharp reversal mean here
A It means the price could suddenly drop after a small rally or even drop without rallying first Instead of going to 1 XRP could crash back down to lower support levels
Intermediate Questions
Q What specific liquidity signal is the analyst talking about
A Usually analysts look for liquidity grabs or stop hunts on the order book A clear signal might be a cluster of large buy orders just below current price and large sell orders near 1 The analyst is saying this imbalance is now obvious
Q If the signal is clear why cant we just follow it
A Because clear doesnt mean certain The market often fakes out traders The price might spike toward 1 to grab liquidity then immediately reverse downward The signal tells you where the move will happen but not which direction first
Q How does this liquidity setup affect stoplosses
